Founded by medical students and junior doctors in Wales in 2007, DevelopMed has worked to improve standards of obstetric services in overseas countries.

Several members of the team have worked in African countries. Frustrated by witnessing so many avoidable mother and baby deaths, such life-changing experiences kick started DevelopMed’s attempts at improving the management of obstructed labour in resource poor settings.

Our simple, effective and innovative surgical instruments aim to help make surgery safer.
